Especially since it’s really hard, considering the way heredity works, to be 1/3 of something…
You would have to have 1 Indian out of your four grandparents, and also 1 of your 16 great-great-grandparents (not including the original), and 1 of your 64 great-great-great-great grandparents (not including the aforementioned two)..and so on for a few more generations. What are the odds of that??

I think the “1/3 Indian boyfriend” thing just kinda goes with that catchy-cool-Diablo-Cody scene going on a lot now with young writing and such, ya know?

I’m not going to say this is intriguing, since I think that word has essentially been worn out by everyones responses. I’m also not sure this piece was all that intriguing, as it did seem to try too hard to be thought provoking which, to me, is a big turn off. I am curious though why the writer insisted on calling her boyfriend her “1/3 Indian boyfriend”.

Hmmm. It certainly is a bit of a perplexing entry. I’m torn between her being a bit artsy for the sake of it or that she is genuinely a bit out there. Odd.
